Meet Paul

Paul Simmons II – Candidate for Homewood City Council, Ward 1

With over 20 years of experience as a healthcare professional, I’ve dedicated my career to serving others—and I bring that same commitment to my community. I am a proud graduate of Faulkner University.  My wife and I are blessed to be raising our two children in Homewood, where they attend our outstanding public schools. We’ve called this city home for the past 10 years, and we love being part of a community that’s welcoming, vibrant, and close-knit.

I currently serve on the Homewood City Schools Foundation, the Mike Slive Foundation, and the Deacon Board at Tabernacle Baptist Church. I am also a former board member of the Homewood Chamber of Commerce and a former small business owner here in the city.

I’m running for City Council because I believe Homewood is a special place with a strong sense of community—and I want to ensure it continues to grow in a way that reflects our shared values. As a resident, parent, and professional, I’m committed to responsible growth, transparent leadership, and preserving the character that makes Homewood feel like home. I’m ready to listen, lead, and work together for a future that benefits all of us in Ward 1.
